Introduction

Viewport is a code review tool for the agentic SDLC. We let engineering teams confidently review agent code at the speed it’s written. Our approach widens the code review bottleneck by extracting the author’s intent and focusing the reviewer’s attention on what actually matters.

Coding agents have made code cheap to produce and expensive to review. A developer with agents opens several times as many pull requests, each one longer, and the reviewer still reads every line by hand.

The decisions that matter were made before the diff existed: in the plan and in the conversation with the agent. Then the session closes and all of it is gone. The reviewer gets a diff and has to ask the author why.

  1. The CLI records the conversation. viewport adds a /viewport command to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Copilot CLI. The conversation stays on your machine until you start a review.
  2. One command starts the review. viewport pr sends the branch’s commits and the conversation to Viewport. Nothing is written to your repository.
  3. Viewport extracts the decisions. It reads the plan and the transcript, finds each decision, links it to the turn where it was made and to the file and line it produced, and rates how strongly it deserves a reviewer’s attention.
  4. The reviewer navigates with the decisions. The review page lists them strongest first, each with its source and its code. Attention goes where it has the most effect. The reviewer judges the decisions, checks the code they choose to, and skips what the agent is reliably good at.

A person reviews every pull request. Viewport structures a change for that person.

  • It never reviews or judges your code, and it never leaves review comments or findings.
  • It never modifies your branch or your repository. It adds no git remote and writes nothing to your history.
